On Saturday September 19, 2009, CHAMPS (Community Health and Men?s Promotion Summit) will conduct its Tenth Annual Health Fair. Any man 18 years or older gets a free complete physical exam valued at over $2,000.

Last year we did over 500 physicals, that also included three cancer screenings and dental exams. Part of the program includes a one-on-one consult with a volunteer physician after completion of the physical (before leaving the event).

Over 40% of the participants have medical coverage, however they just do not seek medical care . It is important that we have representatives  of various organizations available onsite to help their members find good follow up care. Read more
