Exploring Program

Exploring (associated with Boy Scouts) is part of the Learning for Life career education program for young men and women who are 1 (and have completed the 8th grade) or 15 – 20 yrs old.

Mission Statement

It is the mission of Learning for Life to enable young people to become responsible individuals by teaching positive character traits, career development, leadership, and life skills so they can make moral choices and achieve their full potential.

Vision Statement

Learning for Life strives to be the foremost co-educational youth program for character and career development
Explorer posts can specialize in a variety of career skills.  Exploring programs are based on 5 areas of emphasis:

    1. Develop potential contacts that broaden employment options.
    2. Boost self-confidence and experience success at school and work.
      1. Build physical and mental fitness.
      2. Experience positive social interaction.
    1. Encourage the skill and desire to help others
    2. Gain a keen respect for the basic rights of others.
    1. Help make ethical choices
    2. Fulfill one’s responsibility to society as a whole
